In the winter things are a little slow here so I figured I would try and throw in bits of information you may find interesting that I have discovered while going over various maps I have. I will start with this one.

There are thousands of Geodetic Control Stations (monuments) all over the state with the datasheets telling the location of them. Some of the information is pretty basic and some have little bits of historical information in them. This particular one tells us that the house on Leektown Road in Bass River at the below link was in 1954 a "gunning" club.

If you travel through Hammonton this may interest you. At the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Broadway there use to be a fruit and vegetable stand at the T intersection shown below. You can see the field that the one map describes. I have also included the map turned 180 degrees so you can compare how it really is.

The view above and this view are correct. You can still see the private drive right in front of the car that is mentioned on the map.
