I went out to the Black's Bridge area Saturday to do some exploring, i was to meet up with Bob a PBXer at 10:00, I arrived early so i decided to take some pics, first at Black's Bridge.

Refuse Field ( opposite side of Eureka Gun Club Site )
I then decided to go back to where i parked, while studying a topo map of the area i noticed a white car coming down the road from the north, expecting it to be Bob, i was taken aback, it was Guy and his daughter Jessica.
Pleasantries were exchanged, i showed Guy a first printing of Becks more forgotten towns book, and a 1905 New Jersey road map with Calico on it.
Noticed a truck coming from the north and it was Bob, same pleasantries were exchanged, then it was time for some exploring.
Guy was telling me the history of the area, showed me a charcoal area, then we went into a swamp area where Bob said were mushrooms, he found and photographed with my camera this.
We then trudged out of the swamp back to where we parked our cars, i then asked Bob if we could go to Preacher's Hill, we piled into his truck, Bob and Jessica in the cab, me and Guy outside in the back.
Then we went for and exhilirating ride i haven't been on one since i had my ramcharger, we made a left at Aserdaten, the road was narrow, branches smacking me and Guy from the top and sides, i lost my hat temporarily for a while.
We arrived at Preachers Hill, no view because of the trees, but i rather have trees. We then proceeded to another old gun club site, trash about, then on to a spong.
Bob said in June it was full of water, now a month or so later it was dry, it is like someone pulled the plug. Back in the truck to return to our cars , another ride on the wild side, it was great..
We said our goodbyes at our cars going our separate ways, i took the main road going south to the old fire tower site, then the old sand roads to get to rt.72.
To sum up the day, it was hot, humid, water was drank in proficiency, but, i met three great people, explored with them, and had a great time. All of you are A#1 in my book, and Jessica is a gamer, PBXer definitely.
