It isn't Pine Barrens but it's close, I noticed it on my home from NJMP today so it's absence is noted as a trip report.
The red, canvas covered driver's position, ancient hook and ladder fire engine that rested in the field southeast of the interesection of U.S. 40 and NJ 54 in Buena, is gone. I'd seen it there for at least the last 50 years, maybe more. Sign said property available.
Anyone know any story about the fire engine and what's happening?
