Burlco to spend $4.8M to preserve two tracts

One of the tracts will help complete the Kinkora rails-to-trails path. If you have read Beck's book you may remember the Kinkora. Ben and I visited a part of it last year with a tour by the property owner.

i would guess this would be part of the old columbus/kinkora line that ran through Lewistown that eventually ended at New Lisbon.

you can still see the railroad grade on PBM road on the right headed towards browns mills at New Lisbon
