Quite a number of folks are having charges levied against them for applying and accepting funds and being required to return the funds, when they were not entitled to do so. The applications were very clear. Unfortunate for these two, apparently the only two from that area that misinterpreted the process.

I don't know why they are so shocked by the damage.
The property is mapped by FEMA as being completely within the 100 year floodplain limits, the name of the homestead is "Swamp Fox" and the photo in the article shows that they live inside of an Atlantic white cedar swamp.
