He should have reinforced a fear of humans for the next party that came along with perhaps small children. Disapprove.

Also agreed, and in fact it seems quite likely that the yote was already used to getting handouts, and he was upset that none were forthcoming. Otherwise he'd have to be a lot skinnier and more desperate to want to get and stay that close.

I am not an authority of coyotes but I know their basically a dog only smarter and their body language is basically the same. This coyote was not out to hurt this man. There are no signs of agression from the coyote.I did not hear one growl or snarl,There were no laid back ears,no lowered tail and hair up on neck,no bared fangs. This beast was either playing, highly unlikely though or as one person put it,it was probably used to being fed either by choice or it would playfully rush people who fled and dropped their food. When he stuck out his foot it may have taken it as something edible being offered to it.If the coyote wanted to hurt him it would have came on with bared fangs, lowered tail and a growl as it lunged at his neck or face. This guy also had balls and I'm sure he would have promptly killed it if it had done so.I don't think it was reabid.no signs of that either other then lack of fear.It is a man habituated well fed coyote.Poor thing will eventually be shot.
