we hit another shallow spot and had to jump out and drag the canow for a bit.

one of the many little feeder streams along the way

there where alot of downed trees early on. Dylan drags the canoe across one of the log encounters for the old man.
canoeing03182009037.jpg

this tree was deceiving because there are other logs under it and it wasnt so easy to go under it. At first we thought 'piece of cake' it turned out ot be a piece of cake with a giant log in it.

On the river with your son and dog. What better way to spend the day! I agree with Jim, I was there.

Dang!
Nice day. Good to know you spread your fatherly wealth amongst your chillun'.
Some wonderful photos but tell me, did you take a pic of Wharton cocking his leg to pee? Poor guy can't get no privacy.
I like for the low water scenes but with all three of you that canoe must have been lowww in the water. Even on a nice day that stream water is coooho, oold! kinda rich for my thin blood. I walked by my canoe this eve' after my first read of this and was jealous of you.
I'm glad you got out and thanks for the scenery! Keep it up.

Thank's everyone, We had A great time. I was suprised Dylan actually wanted to do this with me. He goes back to School by Pittsburgh on Sunday morning so it was alot of fun to do something just he and I. He says when he comes home for summer break he wants do do alot more.We saw an Eagle along the trip also, we were in alot of twist and turns and the current was a little to strong to put my paddle down and try to get a picture.

And the canoe was riding a little low, I got in and was moving some stuff around then Dylan jumped in and I was like whoa. But we made out all right.
Oh yeah George,Wharton wasn't lifting his leg it only appears that way, he doesnt lift his leg at all to take care of business.:)
