In 1973 when I first visited the Carranza Memorial, the below photo was taken of myself on the left and my brother on the right. How long that sign had been there is obviously unknown; however, we now know at least how long a sign has been there at that location with the information concerning the American Legion and the State of NJ.

On June 12, 1952, on a warm, clear sunny day, surveyors for the state of NJ made a semi detailed map of the complete location, including leaning trees, flag poles, the road and the railing around the property, distances, and the sign shown above. It would be interesting to know if that sign above is the same sign as in 1952.

You haven't changed, the only difference is dress and gray hair. Then, bell bottoms and work boots, today bell bottoms? and knee high rubber boots. Bell bottoms tucked inside? LOL
