Hello everyone,

I've been staying close to home and doing some reexploring of Colliers Mills. I did some searching here on the forum but didn't come up with anything relating to a cement structure I found off of the Shannoc branch that goes to Success lake. I read at one time there was a sawmill on the east side of Success Lake. Beck mentions the forgotten town of Success in his book and a fellow New Egyptian Karen Riley wrote a book that lightly touches on the industry that occurred at Colliers Mills in her book Whispers in the Pines. Just trying to connect the dots on a few things I found out while exploring. I posted a while back on a topic that Guy Thompson was working with me on where a stone marker was found in the woods with initials JB on.

See attached images. This looks like a spillway concrete dam to me that leads to a young cedar swamp with some of the most beautiful thick and tall high bush blueberry bushes I've seen in the Pines. So does anyone know of the specific areas of the industry at Colliers Mills WMA or been out exploring?
