I was looking for some cranberry bogs similar to the ones down at whitesbogs I tried looking around wharton state forest The friendship bogs but had no luck finding them I saw some old bogs that didn't look like they were being farmed also saw some but they looked like they where private with locked gates Is there any other state bogs down that way or any where else that are easy to get to thanks

Near Mt. Misery
Tons of bogs.

There are the Reeves bogs not far from whites bogs. go past mt misery road on route 70 headed west. go about a mile and 2/10ths, on the left is a dirt road near the "Welcome to Pemberton" sign. Follow that road till you hit pavement and turn left, the bogs are on your right. It is an expansive system with lots of wildlife.

Your best bet are the DeMarco bogs which is now the Parker Preserve. All of these are open to the public for foot travel. No vehicles.

Park along 563 here and go either way.

Or if you like older bogs go north on Howardsville Road from here on 72 and walk to your right at any of the side roads.
