What I'm wondering, after I saw this on the news, is why the animal didn't complete the charge and crush this guy against one of the cars? Definitely that idiot is candidate for Darwin Award; too bad he's probably already reproduced (news gave his age as 55).
They had the first goring of the season in late June; a woman in the hip. I fondly recall many years back fishing lower Slough Creek and thinking my backcast caught some sage. Nope, one big Bison ambling along. Lost about 20 feet of line, leader and fly, but it must have been in a good mood as it kept going. They are the most dangerous animals there according to the NPS.
