Not Pines related and for that I apologize but certainly related to the many things people love here and certainly nature and environment related and I know something I'd want to be aware of.

Visited the recently reopened to the public Duke Farms this past weekend. A fascinating story and fascinating property to explore by foot or bike. 2,700 acres and best of all, free. Located just below Somerville NJ on Route 206. FYI Route 206 between Princeton and this location is often very congested with traffic.

Not overly publicized as of yet so I good time to plan a trip. No dogs permitted. Oh, and also a beautiful orchid presenation in one the hot houses for you orchid lovers.

A couple of press related links and also a link to the site within the one article.

If you plan on going I'd suggest reading up more on the Duke Family, Duke Farms and the history of the property.
