I don't know about you guys, but we got really lucky up here. Skies cleared off about an hour ago, and we have a great view. About 4/5 of the way to totality now.

Thanks for the heads-up, Mark. Not so lucky in Egg Harbor Twp., where I'm spending the night. I was going to spend the evening on the beach skywatching if the weather had cooperated. Nothing but clouds still (even though the snow stopped a couple of hours ago) ... drat! I suppose it might clear here in time for the later waxing stage, but my alarm is set for 5am and I'd better get some shut-eye. Enjoy the show, Mark.

A few minutes later, and the sky has cleared! Looks like the man-in-the-moon is totally beshadowed. Think I'll stop worrying about the early alarm, bundle up and have a lenghty see. Thanks again, Mark; I had pretty much given up.

There was a thin veil of clouds at times, but I got a photo.

Great shot LIP. The planet Saturn and the star Regulus came out the way they should in a photo--- pinpoints, real nice.

Nice picture LIP, thanks for posting. It cleared up around my way at about 9:30. Just in time for a good view.
