Rob from work has his own bushes and he was very successful this year. When he finished his he purchased some and claims his was much better. Jessica was thinking of planting them and seeing how we do.

We also have several plants, have had them growing for over 20 years. I like to pick them a tad early and beat the birds, I like a tarter taste.

He had problems with the birds every year. So he made a screen cover to go over them and that worked fairly well. He did have to remove a bird out of it on one occasion. It was a problem picking them with it on but this is his best year ever so he felt it was worth the trouble.

I grew spuds this year.

Our house faces east and is pretty heavily treed. I have the BB's along the edges. No good place for a real garden, so I go the container route which works well and I find easier to maintain. Have some asparagus, tomatos, peppers and carrots growing now. I have more a problem with deer than birds :(
