Today we went to Pine Crest which is at the JCRR tracks directly down the road from Apple Pie Hill at the tracks. There was what I believe to be a gun club there in the 70's that I photographed. The last time I visited it years ago it had been vandalized but was intact.

The directions to it is from Apple Pie Hill head to the tracks. Cross over and head to your right. Just about 300 yards ahead you will come to a clearing and that is it. The below link shows it one the left in the mid to late 70's, and on the right just today.

We then walked the tracks from Pine Crest toward Carranza road and found the box car doors that Ed mentioned in a previous post in the "White Stakes Near Carranza monument" post.

Ed also mentioned PVC pipes sticking out of the ground, but he said they were a few inches in diameter. At the gun club mentioned above, there were two that were a foot in diameter, but the second photo below will give you an idea as to what I believe they were used for.
