We spent the morning exploring around Wharton. The puddles in many of the roads are now dry making access to places much easier. Even then we only ran into one vehicle in our travels today. A man and woman with their two kids in a Jeep with the top off. We smelled death until Jessica found a dead beaver, we examined various plants, saw a few fish, crossed a few streams, talked for three hours and basically had a good day.
For 11 years we have visited this Death Camas and it looks quite good this year as it has for most of the years.
Bob checking out an area we visited many years ago when it was wet.
This location is always nice. Easier to get to today because of the low water level, even with the bridge missing.
Bob and Jessica looking over the xyris.
