The pilot of one of the aircraft parachuted from his craft and lived. Once he reached the ground, the pilot was able to hike out of the woods to a road, where he was found by medical personnel. The other guy not so lucky
yes there are i believe supposed to be a couple of stones further south along that road.I'm sure they'll leave some debris to be found by a bushwacker in the future.I like that area.not really way out but it seems to be because of the long drive and walk to get there legally.
When I first learned of the Batsto Tract stones behind what is now the Big Buck farm, the house was not there and it was not really what it is today. So I did a search and found the owners name and took a chance and called the number and a woman answered. I asked if I could walk across the property to get back there. She hesitated and told me I had to talk to her husband. So she gave me his number and I called him at what I assume was where he was working. I explained who I was and what I wanted to do and he kept asking me who I was. I had to tell him a few times that it was just me and my daughter doing this and I had no affiliation with anyone. He also hesitated and then told me he was sorry but he had concerns about insurance issues and such. I thanked him and hung up. Not long after that the house went up and the operations there really increased.
This was in either December of 2005 or January of 2006 because on January 7 2006 I was at Stone 8. I did not know about the way in that we use now so Jessica and I walked all the way from West Mill Road by Paradise Lake.
