So since I am not stuck in a icy stream in the pines anymore(thanx to Bob), thought I would share some of my pictures again. Been just over a year since I posted one here, and I have been clicking away and learning a lot as I go. I shoot with a Nikon D7000 and mainly shoot within or just on the outskirts of the Pine Barrens. Although within the last year I have become fascinated with waterfalls, and have been wandering around parts of the PA mountains as well.

Anyone know what size(width/height) I should resize my photos to in either lightroom or photoshop so they show correctly on the forum?

Is that Chatsworth Doug?

As to the size of the photos, I'm not sure. I never post the actual photos. I post a PNG file of the photo I make using the Microsoft snipping tool. If I ever use JPG, I reduce the size down to approximately 1,000 X 800 PXL.

The size most used for web displays is 800X600. I use PBase for most photo hosting and it generates 3 sizes plus the original; Flickr does something similar. Makes it easier than having to resize each photo.

Please don't resize them! The detail is wonderful when I click to view the original. Post more. :)

Unfortunately, you should resize them and not post the original photo because of the space they use. For the most part 46er is correct that 800 x600 is the proper size. However, if you have a particular photo that you want to be slightly larger.... go for it. Just half or even less of the original size is plenty big enough. At least that is what I believe Ben will say from reading previous posts of his.

That fits well.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes a larger photo is needed to show the proper perspective.
