Firebreak Permit Proposal

If you have not been following the Pinelands Commission's attempts to permit all firebreaks wider than 6 feet you may want to look this over.

Here is the pdf file with a massive amount of letters they received, most if not all against the plan to permit fire breaks. Many are form letters but some are interesting. One of the form letters is from a member of this site I see. Somewhere in there is one from the FFS but I have yet to find it. This is a huge file so cell phone users may want to pass on it.

BTW, it appears they are backing down on this. Unlike what they did with the recent topo map fiasco.

There are firebreaks in the pines already. We call them sand roads.

If you want a firebreak wider than 6 feet, get a permit.

On robs original map all closed roads were listed as firebreaks on the internal office map

This is a huge file so cell phone users may want to pass on it.

It's over 700 pages, which huge in terms of content. But the file is only 33mb which isn't likely to be a problem for most data plans.
