My curiousity being peaked I decided to trek it out today when I got home. It's been many weeks since I've had the bike out so what better evening. Now my little area is currently a hot spot for quads. seems the local John Law has renewed their interest in the revenue to be collected by busting quads.
Around dinner time on a Weeknight is always a safe bet though. 'nough about that.
Man the woods was great. The rain took down pollen so as to make a tye dye print on every trail and settling spot. Crisp cool air, good for the soul. Now the crappy part. Right as my road ends in the woods, big ol' 42 gallon cold water tank tossed. I hate people. Headed toward Iron Mill one pile of crap after another. Got out to the Pike and the bridge area was clean enough. Water clear & movin' nice like.
Following the Pike out to Chew yeah, lots of junk. no one particular pile with goodies like personal info but yes, it seems as though some homeowner redid the kitchen, every cabinet, bench & countertop, loaded the old stuff in the truck and decided to, over the stretch mentioned, nicely toss every bit to either side. Beautiful work. Busted drawers on the JCR, doors in the woods, cabinets in the puddles. I hate people. The dodge tailgate propped on the tree halfway down is a nice touch too. I have to think, can not one time I just once drive up on someone doing this ???
This is all crap you can put at the street, call the twp. and on given days they send out a large truck for. people suck. So for the ride back I want the ride not to be a waste. Tomorrow being recycle day I had taken out and filled the better part of a 13 gal. trash back with mostly bottles & some cans. Much more rewarding than a wawa bag but try balancing that on a ride home through the woods. Like trying to hold onto a big bag of large marbles. I did find one Molson Ice totally capped sitting by a tree. Hmmm I thought dreamily, slyly looking around.
Perhaps in January or February, temps in the 20's-30's o.k., but I am still getting over being pretty sick so poppin down a luke warm Molson that may have picked up a Funk might not be so brilliant. On the way home I passed all the fixins from an oil change right in the woods, that is not the first time I've seen that either. Pull up drain, fill, leave bottles & old filter & go. Did I mention I hate people?
Hey, was the ride great? you betcha. I can start making my list of stops back my way come October clean up, I got out some trash and the tires on the trails were a welcome feel.
I really hope more people from the site get involved this year. Let's not let the Jeep dudes have all the fun!
Drive on.
