All,
We headed out this morning (Saturday) to photograph some markers in Lacey township that were just monumented, and stopped in at BobM's house on the way. He joined in and on the way from there to the markers we stopped along the road and found Ipecac (Euphorbia ipecacuanhae). You may recognize the name from your medicine cabinet as the liquid you give someone to throw up. The web says Ipecac Syrup is from Brazil, so I am not certain this plant will do what we might think it should do.
It is flat because I may have ran over it with my car

It also comes in green! (Sorry it is slightly blurry)

Then we visited the markers. This was the first one...notice the "0" on it.

And the Trumpet Pitcher Plants are about to bloom. As has been mentioned before, these plants are not native to NJ, so someone introduced them to this location.

From there we headed to Crossley Preserve and explored. In this photo you can still see the old ties from the rail line that was used there.
