That's guvmint for ya. I remember when the company I worked for re-did their logo, which existed since 1891. Folks were not pleased, but it at least had the name within it.

...you might well be puzzled that nothing is growing in this stylized field of green and blue. You might also crack up at the cutting remark of one agency retiree, who lambasted the USDA symbol as "the ultimate example of permanent deforestation."

And the cost born by us and it ain't cheep. All stationary, web sites, business cards, legal stuff, office signs, vehicle signs, road signs; it goes on and on.
