Well he should have had the "State of New Jersey 1931 Official Road Map". (won on Ebay and recieved today)
The map is in very good shape. I will bring it along on our next outing.

That is the location that many of the old maps such as the Cook map puts it.

And that appears to be where I found that one house site, where we didn't go that one time because of the flooding of the road caused by the beavers.
