Soden, who lived in an orphanage, was last seen running from the Bass River Camp Grounds with his 12-year-old friend Donald Caldwell the night of April 3, 1972. ​

Officials say Soden's remains were found near where the teen was last seen.​

that is amazing how this new info (DNA) has been linked to such a cold case. It will be interesting to see what further investigation reveals. I bet his friend is not far away either. I wonder how far the remains were found from the campsite. It also makes me wonder how remote the remains were, or off the trail.

If we could magically see all the human remains in the woods, like say, as red dots on a map, I bet we would be shocked. Probably a spooked also. I wonder how many unsolved cases there are directly linked to dissappearences in the pine barrens. I don't know if there is an online search for that sort of thing.

They should tell us the location. The case is so old any information they can get from the general public has to help them. If the public went out there and looked you have a much better chance of finding something.
