If you want to know how to have an arrow point to a specific location on Google Maps, practice this to learn how. This will enable you to post it and send the location to others.

Guy

First, go to Google Maps

Find the exact spot you want to mark, right click your mouse, and choose “Directions to here.” As soon as you do this a new field will open that says “End address” and it will have coordinates in it. Then click on the link that says “Search the map” and then hit the “Search Maps” button to the right of that, or your Return or Enter key. An arrow will now point to the location. On the right side of your browser click on “Link to this page” and copy it and you have the link to the exact location you want to send or post.

On this subject, I believe there is a new feature to Google Maps, I could be wrong. When creating a route with "start" and "end", the resulting map on the right side can be modified to your preferred roads by "clicking" and "dragging". Immediately, the step-by-step directions on the left will reflect the change. I just discovered this in mapping out route to Sweetwater. Couldn't find address in either of my GPS' 'til I entered "Hammonton", then everything fine.
