All,

Since many of you use Google this may or may not effect you. Google has changed it's Terms of Service and may now put a photo of you in it's Shared Endorsements ads if you signed up for Google+ and added a photo. So, if you do not want this to occur go to this link on Google and uncheck if need be the box next to where it says "Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads."

https://plus.google.com/settings/endorsements?hl=en&partnerid=gplp0

You can read more here to see if this is something that may concern you.

Facebook did something similar a month or so back, but much more liberal with ones info. Yet another reason to steer clear. Even Flickr has changed. For photo hosting I've found PBase to be the more customer friendly, you pay a fee, but it's very reasonable. And they do not steal private property.

You all realize that the Facebook thing is basically just going to look like "Ben Ruset likes Kraft Mac and Cheese" (or whatever brand) with your profile pic next to it. It's not really some nefarious plot to profit off of your likeness.

I was referring to their use of a persons photography and personal info. This link discusses it. Inferred agreements, even if you are under age. And sure it is. How many folks actually read the TOS, it creates a gold mine of free stuff for them to use.

Personally, I am not part of FB, but the way they do business is shameful.
