GPS

I'm looking into getting a GPS to replace my DeLorme Tripmate which seems to no longer want to work. I would need something to connect to a laptop and interface with Delorme TopoUSA.

I'm thinking of the Garmin GPS V deluxe. It can be had for $430, plus another $50 for the PC cable.

Anyone have any recomendations?

This will be used for geocaching and finding my way through the pines.

Im not sure it will interface with that software, but Im very happy with my magellan 330M Map. It seems to know even the most obscure trails in the pine barrens (almost pee'd myself when I saw it) and Im very happy with my $269 purchase.

I ended up getting a Garmin GPSV Deluxe for ~$500 at the Circuit City in Brick. It does interface with my laptop, which means tbat I can map using TopoUSA, and it also came with a map software with streets, etc. with downloadable maps. I downloaded most of South Jersey into the GPS, and now I can use the device to auto-route me places. It's pretty nice.
