There was a fire there in the late 1990"s, so hot it killed the pines above ground but they quickly sprouted back from the roots. They are about 6 feet tall now. A good deer area and lots of old inventive stands. Go there soon before it grows up much more, after a fire is a great time to explore. The area to the south over the RR tracks is known as quarter mile run, a serious 4 wheeling spot, lots of partying too.
