For those of you who have been traveling around the Martha area, this question is for you especially. Have you noticed the building at the below link? Somewhere between Martha and Oswego lake on a remote dirt road I stumbled upon it in 1979. As you can see it had been ransacked. There was only one road in and out from this location, and because of it's remoteness ours were the only tracks visible when we left.
Particularly interesting was that there had been a piano in the building and the vandals had removed the keys from it. That may mean that they were of ivory, or the vandals thought they were. Just guessing...You can see the piano stool in the second photo.
Since 1979 this building may have been damaged even more, but if any of it is still intact it should be quite noticeable from the type and style of brick used to build it.
