HELP Needed Listing ALL NJ Pine Barrens Species

I'm new to the NJPineBarrens.com community, but I've already had a chance to discuss one or two things with a couple of members and it seems like there's a great informative group of individuals here.

I'm asking for some help here because I'm not an expert on the Pine Barrens, but I figured some of you might be.

I've recently launched a website devoted to documenting all of the known animal species that inhabit the NJ Pine Barrens. However, I'm certain that I am missing animals from my lists, especially invertebrates. Thus, I was hoping that some of you, if you wouldn't mind, could take a peak at the lists on my website and let me know which animal species I'm missing.

You can add bull frog to the amphibian list.

I would start with chiggers for the invertebrates since they hold such a special place in the ankles of those who have met them.

Howard Boyd, who wrote the excellant book....."Field Guide to the Pine Barrens", is an entemologist, and most insects can be found in his book.

Danny, do you live in or near the Pine Barrens?

Thanks for the heads up. I actually ordered his book off Amazon earlier this morning. It comes highly recommended.

I live in North Jersey, but I go down to the Ocean City/Pine Barrens area every few months.

Excellent suggestion. I'd be willing to bet they are among the most numerous species in the pines.
