Right back at ya! Its funny working so close to the Pines and with NPS, but not finding much of any woodsy folks here. Mostly all of them give me incredulous looks when I tell them I'm bp'ing for a weekend, or (shudder) alone. It's always the same thing; "the woods are dangerous alone, what about bear, what about the cold, what about getting lost and yadayadayada." I did the Dolly Sods in WV alone for two weeks this past spring and someone told me it sounded like I had a death wish! I'll tell you what, I'll take my chances alone in the woods for any period of time and bet I'm twice as safe to being stuck in any major city.
