Hidden Turtles

If you look closely at the arrow you can see the turtles shell.

All you can see of this turtle is the top of his head. Jessica noticed it after almost stepping on it. I bent down to take a photo and the head would vanish. I stood up and it was back.

Also found this tall monument. Not sure yet what it is for.

If you ever wonder how these turtles survive forest fire that is how. This time of year most reptiles are in a mid summer slumber in a wetland or cool spot. Cool photos Guy!
