I was wondering if anyone has or knows if purifying the water from the bogs and streams is a feasable idea? Or should I just carry as much as possible and restock at say Batsto? Thanks....

As been mentioned before there always is the option to hide water in advance along the route where you can have access by car. Fill up as you pass by and return later to remove the empty bottles.

Sure there is that option. but is the water feasable to drink after purification? I have had some bad water problems in the past....
 
I use my katadin hiker water filter in the pines and have never had a problem. The filter tends to clog pretty fast as the water has a lot of sediment,but it is fast and convenient.
