It's not good here on Long Island. We barely had any rain in March. New York broke it's record, now at .80'' of rain for the month.
The woods are extremely dry here. It's so dry the sand (dust?) from the trails makes clouds as you walk and covers your shoes and pants. The ground litter (dead pine needles, oak branches) is tinder dry at the forest floor. You can almost smell fire in the air.
We got a brief shower today, but I think it barely wet the woods down.
