Damn.....

That's not a prediction. That's estimated current rain that has fallen already.

Looks like a bad one for Florida. On the news they were expecting 4 to 8 feet of storm surge this evening before the hurricane even gets there, then apocalyptic predictions of 20 foot surges when it arrives. Supposed to go all the way up into the mountains of North Carolina and really hammer them. Good time to be here in New Jersey.

I wonder if it will bring some rain to us in a few days? The tracks show it ending up in the midwest.

Moving pretty fast, sure looks like we will get some rain from this. Forecast currently calling for between 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain tonight and the same tomorrow.

Found this site for measuring the 24 hour rainfall totals anywhere, there is also an app. My initial testing has shown this to be accurate and could come in handy if it does prove to be accurate.

Could be handy. But as far as I could tell, all it does is report 24 hour totals wherever you click/tap. The app screenshots didn't show any option for displaying precip totals graphically on the map, aside from the live radar overlay.
