A minor point but that is not a Jeep as any Land Cruiser owner will tell you. In any event, I purchased two of them with one being a 1978 FJ and that only cost me $9000. The price has really gone up :)

In your first post. I really should not have even mentioned it. I just never liked it when I owned one when someone called it a Jeep. That is like calling an apple an orange. No big deal really.

You either misread or misunderstood. I cannot find anywhere in the original post that I called it a Jeep, but I did buy one. ;)

I see now that you extended your sentence into your post. I read it as "a new Jeep" and then the link to the Land Cruiser.

Man I miss mine (Green 1977 FJ-40)... Bought it when I was 15 (1996) for $2000-I found it on Yahoo classifieds. An elderly couple from rural Virginia owned it. They had brought it out from Arizona when he had retired from the Air Force. I fixed it up and ran it all over the pines. Northeastern winters took their toll on the body, the 2F inline six started to show its age and electrical gremlins started appearing. I ended up selling it for $1500 for parts. The mechanicals were probably refurbished and found their way into one of the ones selling for five figures on E-bay.
