Hello,

I have been a lurker for the past few months and thought I'd say hi. My fiancé and I have gotten a lot out of the forum (day trip ideas) just from peeking in and poking around, so thank you.

Cheers,

Hey thanks, Boyd. Likewise, I look forward to discussing past and possible future excursions with the experts!

So what sort of excursions do you like best? Basically, what idea's have you acquired and used?

Welcome to the site and as Boyd said we look forward to hearing about your trips.

Well we like to take day trips, and the wife-to-be isn't much of a camper and is kind of bristling at the idea of an extended Batona trail hike.

Right off the top of my head we hit the Delaware Bay area as a direct result of reading this forum. Sea Breeze in particular. I'll skim back through some of the threads and see what else we took away from here. I can't remember if our Atsion excursion was also influenced by NJPB Forums, but I've been up and down 206 a few times on my way to Pic a lilli and most certainly kept meaning to stop. I did some camping in Wharton as a kid and I used to haunt the Pines with my scouting friends too so I have this lingering nostalgia that's been stoked since I moved back into NJ.

Thanks for the welcome, Guy.

PS - also I remember very clearly being really into the NJ Folklore as a very young kid (they taught us about some of the folklore when I was in 3rd grade), most particularly JD of course. So I've loved, enjoyed and been fascinated with the area pretty much since I can remember.
