It was one for quite a long time. Then the goobermint declared it wasn't. But I'll watch it anyway since part of the oodles of money they spent to take pictures of it are mine.
By definition any body that orbits the sun that is big enough that it has collapsed gravitationally into a sphere is a planet.Looks like a sphere to me and it does orbit the sun.
