My buddy in Old Bridge says the weather was getting serious up there. Huge flakes and LOTS of them! Heading this way soon????
14" at High Point SP, 16" in the Pocono's. I guess the 'frost' is finally on the pumpkin and the chiggers may be at bay for awhile 
I am really ooking forward to winter this year. The southern hemisphere just had one of the coldest winters in over a century. I am really hoping to get out in the pines for a good snow storm this season.

I hope so! "What are chiggers" was one of the Jeopardy answers last night, and I caught myself scratching the last of this years bites.
It was so much less than awesome up here . I love winter, and snow, but dammit it's October . Anyway, it came down too fast to be pretty, blanketed everything in white cement, and and went off like a bomb in our forests. I would like to know the tonnage of wood that hit the ground Tues. in Morris, Hunterdon, and Warren counties. I bet it would be an eye-opener.
