I have always wondered why the Jenkins Quad had the Jenkins Chapel marked as St Andrews Chapel, and I notified the USGS that it was incorrect. Future editions of that quad should have Jenkins Chapel on it. Today I was reading "Heart of the pines" and found the answer. If you have the book read page 400. If not, here is a brief reason why it was called St. Andrews.

The building was originally a school, and after WW1 the Episcopal church set up missionaries to preach religion to "country people". In 1917 the Bishop of the Diocese of Camden sent a reverend on horseback there to preach, and in 1925 when the building was abandoned the diocese bought it from the Washington Township School Board for $100 and a sign went up in front saying "St. Andrews Chapel".

The quad has not been updated to reflect the changes until now.
