Does anyone know of a junk yard that is open on Sundays in the Camden County Burlington County area? I cracked an exhaust tube on my car today and want to try to replace it tomorrow. It is a small tube with a flange that comes out of the exhaust manifold and goes around the side of the engine and threads onto a vacuum canister of some sort. It is about 1 foot long. It look like an easy fix I just need the part. My car sounds like it does not have a muffler.

It broke right at the flange where it bolts to the manifold. I hit a bump and with my car being so low I must have hit the exhaust pipe which pushed up and broke it. I did not notice the noise on the ride home, but after the engine cooled I can now hear it. I pulled on it with a board to see it that was the problem, which it ws, and now the tube does not go back in the hole as much and is noiser.

I don't like the look of that stud and nut combo Guy. That looks like trouble with a capital "T". I think they may have the part cause its part of an exhaust system which may get replaced often.

The color of the photo is because I have been spraying the bolts and nuts with lubricating fluid. Hopefully it will make it easier when I go to remove them. Those bolts were off about two years ago when I had work done on it before, so they may come off easy.

If U can get it off, just get it welded....it`ll be better then new.

True...

The only problem is that during the week I have little time except the evenings to do this. I am not sure if I can get it welded after 5PM.

don't know when it's open, but i've been wanting to get inside wade salvage on jackson road in atco for the longest time--they have some crazy stuff in there! when you drive by you can see huge airplanes and trains and buses and cranes and all kinds of cool stuff. i've been thinking about calling them up to see if they'd let me come in to just look around and take pictures, but i kind of doubt they'd say yes. and sneaking in is out of the question cause i don't want to tangle with any junkyard dogs :(

I looked the part over and even took off the bolts that Bob had concerns about, and it is an easy fix. The car runs fine and is only slightly noisy when it warms up, so I am going to Ford tomorrow, or my brother is, and I will put the part on tomorrow night if I get it. A weld would work but at this point if I am going to take it off I might as well replace it.

Thanks for everyone's help.
