I recieved a piece of info yesterday indicating this is not the first time these lads have been "lost" and then discovered in that same exact area.
Reliable info Paddler. Yesterday at Sweetwater ran into a woman I've become friendly with that works for the state and was at Batsto Friday Morn' when I called her to get the skinny. It was early then but yesterday she told me some more. Without being inaccurate and gossipy it's safe to say these fellas were not completely innocent in their wanderings.
It would be fair to their loved ones if they were a little more clear on their Messin' about and didn't have people worrying. All the same, we oft complain about John Law but it is good to know we've got responsive people out there willing to go the extra step when needed.
So these kids intended to camp out there but chose to lie to their families about it? What is the logic behind that?
