A nice read Jeff. I am still amazed that nobody has mentioned finding the tower shown in that article. I have to give props to the person who decided where to place that. I just happened to stumble on it and was right upon it before I knew it was there. You would not think that could happen with something so large, but obviously it can.

I could save them a lot of money. I'll answer their 2 study questions myself:

First, what are the probable hydrologic effects of groundwater diversions from the Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer on stream flows and wetland water levels?

The streamflows and wetland water levels go down.

Second, what are the probable ecological effects of induced stream-flow and groundwater-level changes on aquatic and wetland communities?

The wetland plants gradually disappear and are replaced by other species.

Seriously. I know there is more too it, I am being tounge in cheek. But what are they hoping to see, that they certainly can inrcrease building with minimal effect?

There are several options depending on what they find:

1.) Slow down Growth.
2.) Ask God for more rain.
3.) Enforce conservation (the new sprinklers at the Stop-n-shop in Whiting and the new retirement community need that kind of control, for example).
4.) Make gamblers in AC drink water recycled from sewage plants.

I was at the Wawa in Whiting and the sprinklers went off and I was thinking the same thing. It is bad enough they wiped out all that woods, now they have to add insult to injury and deplete our aquifer so their grass looks good. That was a substantial amount of water also.

Of course, I still bought coffee there so I guess I should feel a little guilty.
