Two weeks ago I took my first paddle there. I was suprised to see the water was clear, not cedar. It reminded me of spring fed quarries in Pennsylvania, except the water is very warm. It was stagnant, no water flowing out of it. The water was at least a foot below the dam. Equally supprising was not much aquatic plant life and no green algae water. I did see some small fish and the turtles were clean.

I didn't think much of it for paddeling, it's small, there's a road all around it with people present everywhere ( boom boxes) and the constant drone of RT 9 and/or the parkway.

Well at least it's off my list.

I've never been there and really had no desire to go there, but now I am certain I will not go there.
