Driving down Quaker Bridge Rd at 4:10 last night I was blocked by a large landscaping truck, with a big flatbed type trailer. This was 1.14 miles from Rt 206, at a grassy, burned, area. Two guys were walking into the grass with shovels and buckets and hauling the grass and shrubs out and putting them on the truck. I took the tag number, they moved the truck and I drove on to the river. On the way back they were still blocking the road, they moved the truck to let me by. When I got home I called DEP and got a call back from PP. Not sure if they found the guys or if they went after them and their company. I'm guessing they did not.

Seeing less Po po in the woods generally.

????

They must have a permit, or are doing work on behalf of the state. I can't believe they'd do this in the open like that. Good of you to get the tags and report it.

Why do you think they might not have gone after them? We can't have that corrupt of a system.

Could they have been working for the state? Never thought of that. They appeared to be a commercial outfit with a big landscaping truck, and I just assumed they were taking free grass and shrubs to use on the job. Not implying corruption, but I assume that if PP arrested them, they would need me to come in and make a statement or something, and so far that hasn't happened. Maybe it will.

That was the area where they cut the trees because of bug damage. They may be working for the state.

Jon,

I report dumpers all the time and in the email I get back it says this. I should say in the last email I got this.

If you would like an update at anytime please feel free to reach out.

Now I am not sure if calling them back will get a response as the person you call may not have the answer or be allowed to give it out. Because I used email they would know for sure that they are responding to the proper person.

Teegate,

PP called me back twice to confirm details and said they were looking for the truck last night. If it turns out the guys were state contractors, then no harm done, and I've done my civic duty by reporting it. But it does sound from what you guys are saying, they were pulling shrubs for the state.
