Your tax dollars at work... what a shame I'm not in the district anymore to ante up my share :dance:

But seriously, those schools needed some work. My daughter went through Shawnee before the new school opened and things were very cramped and in need of repair. We were all very happy with the quality of education there however, it's a very good district. But unfortunately these things come at a high price, and that's reflected in the tax bill.

Getting caught in a cycle of rising taxes and falling home prices must be tough for a lot of people there.

I graduated from Lenape and the one line in that article sums up one problem they had there.


The additions will unite the disconnected, sprawling buildings and improve flow throughout the school


There was a enclosed "breezeway" between the two sections of the school and it is a mystery as to why they built it that way. I am assuming they are going to make classrooms at that location which would be nice.
