Tony Blair?
What happened to the sun today by the way!
Yeah I was abit pissed about that. I was gonna go to the Napeague pines in Montauk on Saturday, but instead of a nice sunny day with blue skies, there was alot of high clouds, with alot of aircraft contrails, so I didn't go. What happened was the high pressure system that was trying to build in from the north, was over-ridden by the fast upper level west-to-east zonal flow bringing in moisture from a storm over the midwest.
It's a big trip, and I want to make sure I get good photos when I go. Hazy high clouds and contrails are definately a no-go.
Lately it seems most days we are plauged by this upper level "junk", aviation smog, and contrails. I think it's because of the upper air pattern, the zonal flow (which we had most of the winter, except late Feb/Early Mar) brings the dirty air in from the rest of the country, where a trof in the east (N-NW flow aloft) brings in cleaner air. The zonal flow (west-east upper level flow) we have right now keeps the clean air to our north.
It sucks when you're trying to get good pictures.
