Little Egg Harbor Rd and Rogers Road

Can anyone tell me where these two roads are/were? They appear on the bottom of the Jones Tract map and intersect one another, but I cannot figure out what roads they are today. Perhaps they are not even around any longer? I think they would be somewhere east of Chatsworth. Or maybe part of 72 was Little Egg Harbor Rd?

Where did you get the map? Is the map North-up? That can be very confusing (unless you are Boyd).
I inherited one copy from my grandmother and another from a cousin. It is north up for the most part. Have you looked at it? Ben posted it in the historic map gallery.

Okay, got it, thanks. I'll have to think about that. I lived in Presidential Lakes (upper mill) in the 1970's, but I never went by road names.

Rogers Road was cutoff by the JCRR years ago. The corner of Roger’s Road has the Hanover Furnace stone(s) and state monument that I found years ago and mentioned to you Tom. In fact, I may have even taken you there. Not sure.

The intersection of Egg Harbor Road and Rogers Road where you are looking for on your map is here. There was a stone at one time in the middle of the road and I have info it was buried 2 feet deep at a later time. However, there is a monument there now off the side of the road for the Hanover corner even though it is not the exact corner.

Tom,

There are plenty of other Hanover Furnace stones you have never viewed in that area. If you want to meet up one day again I can show you some that are not super hard to get to like the last time.

Here is the state monument at Egg Harbor and Rogers. You can see the NJ and the 62 inscribed in it.

If you go on your own look for the arrow on the tree and the survey stake near it. I was there a few weeks ago and took these photos. I can show you other monuments nearby as well if you are interested. They are along Rogers Road following the Hanover line shown on your map.

Tom, I have retired and if you have weekdays off at any time let me know and we can visit and I will re-find the stones of your ancestors property.

If you have the deed this is the one at "The Head Of Indian Jake." It took me to 2015 to find this one. The others were in 2006.

Bob and Guy,

I appreciate your help with this. Guy, I'd like to visit the other stones with you. Any particular weekdays work best for you?

All are about the same so we can work that out and come up with a date.

To be upfront, it is summer and a couple of the stones close near each other may be slightly tough. The other two are easy to slightly easy, and the monuments are along a road.

If you need a weekend I can do that as well, even though every two weeks I now have a project that Jessica and I am working on that may take up both days.
