Does anyone know something and could share about the house ruins on the blue trail at Maurice River Bluffs?

Thats house is referred to as the ":Wheaton Mansion" I don't know the history of it but I do know that Wheatons Wharf is just upstream at the spring and that downstream the resident mansion surrounded by now Nature Conservancy property is the Starubmiller mansion.Straubmiller married a Wheaton and she sold the property to the nature Conservancy a few years ago.Far as i knw she still lives but is quite old now.I think she is still in the mansion.NC property now surrounds her house. The fields used to be her yard.

Also the lady that lived in Straubmiller Mansion apparently died in 2016. The mansion though as far as i know is still private though surrounded by NC land

Thats the one! and the chimney to the right as you look through the door fell over from the top of the wall up,it fell into the building and made a brick pile.Thats probably why they don't want anyone in it because the other one looks like it's not long for this world either.

Another interesting thing about that house is more often then not when i walk up to the door and look in there are often either buzzards in the house or sitting on top of the walls.Seems to be a real hang out for Flaps.
