Missing Woman

Bob, gipsie gave me the coordinates of the encounters and Jess and I went there and did not see the memorial. Yesterday, I saw a video on Facebook showing people there and one was present and looked old. I believe the mom gave gipsie the cords so maybe she was not correct. I really don’t know.

I have to go back and confirm where the memorial exactly is.

There is some extra info provided by the PI who is working this.

Danielle Evelyn Lopez, age 37, disappeared on April 13, 2024 along Lost Lane Road, an unpaved forest road in Penn State Forest in Woodland Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.
In the week before she vanished, Danielle was living at Campsite 77 in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest with her boyfriend, James “Scott” Dunn. They moved there on April 7, 2024 after being told to leave his parents’ home in Willingboro following a domestic incident that required a police response. They were essentially displaced into the woods.
On the morning of April 13, 2024, Danielle was captured on surveillance footage at a Wawa in Vincentown.
Later that afternoon, a passing motorist’s dash-mounted GoPro camera recorded her on Lost Lane Road. Her blue 2013 Hyundai Accent was stuck in a flooded section of the sand road. The driver stopped. Danielle asked for directions to Lake Oswego.
At approximately 5:50 PM, a second GoPro recording shows Danielle walking alone along the same stretch of Lost Lane Road. This is the last independently verified sighting of her.
Later that evening, another individual came upon the same disabled Hyundai. He turned on the hazard lights. Danielle was not there. The hazard lights continued to flash until the battery eventually died.
That same night, Scott showed up at the home of a woman who knew both him and Danielle. He arrived alone, wearing muddy boots, and asked for help with Danielle. This witness has requested anonymity due to concerns for her safety. Her account confirms Scott needed assistance involving Danielle on the very night she vanished, long before he ever acknowledged her missing publicly.
Despite this, Danielle’s vehicle was not recovered by law enforcement until May 1, 2024, about eighteen days later. In earlier GoPro footage, a large black trash bag filled with belongings is clearly visible in front of the vehicle. When police finally recovered the car, that trash bag was no longer present. It has never been located or accounted for.
From April 14 through April 21, 2024, there were no calls from Danielle to her mother, no bank activity, and no confirmed communication from her to anyone.
During that time, her boyfriend, James “Scott” Dunn, did not notify law enforcement and did not notify her family that she was missing.
The first time he acknowledged Danielle’s disappearance was in a text message exchange with her mother on April 22 and 23. In those messages, he claimed Danielle had “left the campground,” said he did not know where she went, and redirected attention to a man he called Craig, described as a homeless camper who had been staying near them. He also referenced the State Park Police being present at the campground prior to her disappearance.
At no point in those first eleven days did he file a missing person report for her.
On April 24, 2024, Danielle’s mother formally reported her missing to the New Jersey State Police.
That same day, James “Scott” Dunn arrived at the New Jersey State Police barracks. While he was there, troopers discovered a motorcycle hidden in the woods near the barracks with an altered or fictitious vehicle identification number. He was arrested on that offense and remains incarcerated on unrelated criminal charges.
This is not a simple missing-adult case. It sits on top of a long, documented pattern of domestic violence.
Between 2019 and early 2024, Danielle repeatedly told her mother, police, and others that Scott had punched her, injured her, and scared her. Police responded to incidents in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She required stitches for facial injuries. There were multiple 911 calls. Family members observed bruising. In February and March of 2024, while staying at his parents’ home in Willingboro, two separate incidents led to police responses and ended with both Danielle and Scott being told to leave. Weeks later, she was gone.
Danielle did not leave with her car. She did not take her belongings. She did not empty accounts, plan a new identity, or say goodbye. She was last seen on foot, on a remote road, after asking for directions, with her car stuck and her life in chaos.
Her boyfriend, who has a long criminal history including aggravated assault, escape, burglary, drug distribution, and theft, never reported her missing and only began expressing concern when her mother started asking questions.
What we know for certain:
Danielle was alive and walking along Lost Lane Road on the evening of April 13, 2024.
Her vehicle remained where she left it until it was found by police on May 1, 2024.
Her belongings were left behind and some items disappeared before law enforcement secured the scene.
She has had no contact with her family since that date.
She was a documented victim of long-term domestic violence.
The last known person connected to her did not act as a worried partner should.
What we do not know is what happened to her between the final GoPro sighting and the moment her car was first found without her.
I am posting this for anyone who was in or around Penn State Forest or Brendan T. Byrne State Forest between April 7 and April 14, 2024, especially near Lost Lane Road and the Lake Oswego area. If you were driving with a dashcam, using a GoPro, hiking with a trail camera, or camping in that period and remember seeing Danielle, her blue Hyundai Accent, or anything unusual, your information may matter.
If you have information about Danielle Evelyn Lopez or were in that area during the dates described, please contact law enforcement or send a tip through the proper channels.
Danielle did not simply walk away from her life. She vanished while trying to get back to safety. Somebody knows what happened.

Sounds like the abusive boyfriend is the prime suspect. I know there can be a lot of mitigating factors that make it difficult for a woman to leave an abusive relationship, but it’s always the best option.

"He arrived alone, wearing muddy boots, and asked for help with Danielle."

Too bad a detective was not present at this juncture. One rarely walks out of the pines with mud on their boots. Dried clay? Maybe. Organic muck? Yes, but it usually dries quickly and falls off.

"That same night, Scott showed up at the home of a woman who knew both him and Danielle. He arrived alone, wearing muddy boots, and asked for help with Danielle. This witness has requested anonymity due to concerns for her safety. Her account confirms Scott needed assistance involving Danielle on the very night she vanished, long before he ever acknowledged her missing publicly."

What, exactly, did the woman say that Scott said regarding his needing help? Did he say: "Danielle is trapped in the woods"? Did he say "Danielle is missing"? Did he say "Danielle is lying down hurt"?

I'm just highlighting vast holes in the sequence of events. Is it difficult to have the police release every turn and every conversation in this affair?

I suspect they have their suspect and are just waiting for him to talk or slip up. But they could give out info to the public on possible locations she may be at, if they have any.

I find it hard to follow things without a timeline, so I made this one based on the posts in this thread. If there is an error, let me know:

Between 2019 and early 2024, Danielle Lopez repeatedly told her mother, police, and others that Scott Dunn (boyfriend) had punched her, injured her, and scared her. Police responded to incidents in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She required stitches for facial injuries. There were multiple 911 calls. Family members observed bruising.

February-March of 2024, while staying at his parents’ home in Willingboro, two separate incidents led to police responses and ended with both Danielle and Scott being told to leave.

April 7, 2024: Danielle and Scott, after being told to leave his parents’ home in Willingboro following a domestic incident that required a police response. They were essentially displaced into the woods and went to Campsite 77 in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest. Danielle called her mother from a phone belonging to someone named Joe Jenkins.

April 12, 2024: Danielle spoke with her mother that evening. She could hear Scott’s voice in the background. That same day, the neighboring camper posted a picture of Danielle in front of a campfire on Facebook with the caption “My girlfriend.”

April 13, 2024, Danielle was captured on surveillance footage at a Wawa in Vincentown. There was a second person (unidentified) who left the store at the same time.

Later that afternoon, around 4 pm, a couple driving with a dash-mounted GoPro camera recorded her on Lost Lane Road, but her car was not stuck at that time. Danielle flagged them down and asked for directions to Lake Oswego. Danielle then drove off in her blue 2013 Hyundai Accent.

At approximately 5:50 pm, a second GoPro recording in a vehicle (the same couple she encountered around 4 PM) shows Danielle walking alone along the same stretch of Lost Lane Road. Danielle told them her car was stuck in a puddle, and she had been walking for about 20 minutes. She asked them for assistance, but they offered none and drove away.

Around 6:20 pm, a tow driver sees her car stuck in a puddle. Her keys were still in the ignition, but Danielle was not with the vehicle. He posted a photo and details in the Facebook group “New Jersey stuck in the mud and snow and need a pull out.”

8:30 pm. Her car is pulled out of the mud by the same tow driver. He left the hazards on so the owner could find it, and posted the location on the same Facebook Group.

(the following is only in the PI's timeline) That same night, Scott showed up at the home of a woman who knew both him and Danielle. He arrived alone, wearing muddy boots, and asked for help with Danielle. This witness has requested anonymity due to concerns for her safety. Her account confirms Scott needed assistance involving Danielle on the very night she vanished, long before he ever acknowledged her missing publicly.

Noted on GoPro but not dated: a large black trash bag filled with belongings is clearly visible in front of the vehicle.

April 22 and 23: (the following is not in her mother Sue's timeline) Scott texted Danielles mother and claimed Danielle had “left the campground,” and said he did not know where she went, and redirected attention to a man he called Craig, described as a homeless camper who had been staying near them. He also referenced the State Park Police being present at the campground prior to her disappearance.

April 24, 2024: Danielle’s mother formally reported her missing to the New Jersey State Police.

That same evening, Danielle's mother texted with Scott Dunn. Here are some key parts of that conversation according to Sue: Scott first told me, “She left the campground Wednesday I think. When I got there she and the car were gone.” When Sue asked what day he last saw or spoke with Danielle, he said “Tuesday” and then clarified “16,” meaning April 16. Sue indicated that this directly conflicts with the evidence that Danielle was last seen alive by the GoPro couple on Saturday, April 13, walking away from her stuck car. In the days that followed, Scott’s explanations changed several times in his messages.

May 1, 2024: Law enforcement and the Forest Fire Service drained a water hole near Lost Lane Road as part of a search related to a missing person whose car was found nearby. That missing person was Danielle. No large trash bag was found. It was never located or accounted for.

James Ramsey ( Ramsey is the PI working on the case)
There is no confirmed alibi for Scott for the day Danielle disappeared. [REDACTED] said he did not hear or see Scott leave the campsite that morning, and when he returned later in the day Scott was there alone and Danielle was gone. [REDACTED] also said he last saw Danielle that same day when she walked past the site and seemed upset. He claimed he had left the campground the night before, but Sue spoke to Danielle that night and could clearly hear both Scott and [REDACTED] in the background, which shows he stayed later than he stated. His timeline about when he left and what he saw does not match.
There is no verified information showing Scott using a car or any other transportation on April 13. The only vehicle tied to him in this investigation is the motorcycle found hidden in the woods with an altered serial number when he arrived at the State Police barracks on April 24. Scott never reported Danielle missing and has never provided a clear explanation for where he was, when he left, or how he was getting around that day. His movements and his method of travel on April 13 remain completely unaccounted for.

Hopefully James or Sue will jump on here in the next couple of days and give some more info. I gave him the link to this thread, so maybe he can shed some light. I think he could only benefit from the expertise in this group.

A little more of an update from Danielle's mother Sue. It is long but may answer some questions.

The documented timeline of my daughter Danielle Lopez’s disappearance
There has been a lot of confusion and misinformation about what happened before my daughter went missing in the New Jersey Pine Barrens in April 2024.
What follows is the timeline based on my phone records, text messages, witness interviews, and information shared by investigators. This is the official and accurate timeline. I am sharing this, so the public has a clear picture of what is known and what is still unanswered. Full transparency.
Before continuing, I have never given information to mislead or out of embarrassment. Danielle’s struggles became clear after the loss of her oldest brother (my son, Eric). Blaming herself lead to Danielle accepting a lifestyle she didn't deserve. I helped Danielle as best I could; she stayed with me often and attended rehab several times. The door to my home was and is still open for Danielle. I invited her and even begged her to come home. Danielle was coerced into going back. If I could change any part of how this unfolded, I would have.
God will judge the wicked.
** A week before she vanished **
Sunday, April 7, 2024
• Danielle called me from a phone belonging to someone named Joe Jenkins. She told me, “Save this number just in case something happens.” I saved it under his name with that note.
• That night, she began camping at Brendan T. Byrne State Forest.
• A neighboring camper later told an investigator that when he met her at the campground, she was alone at first and that Scott showed up later.
Over the next few days at the campground, according to the neighboring camper's interview with a private investigator:
• Danielle told him she was homeless.
• She told him her dog Roscoe had died and that Scott buried him, but she did not know where.
• He heard Danielle and Scott arguing, yelling and screaming, including about money she inherited.
• He said Scott sometimes left in the late afternoon and came back early in the morning, leaving Danielle alone at the campsite at night.
• Police came to the campground one night for an argument in the area.
** The last days before Danielle disappeared **
Thursday, April 11, 2024
• The neighboring camper says he saw Danielle working on the campsite, chopping wood.
• Late that night, someone delivered a propane heater to their site.
Friday, April 12, 2024
• Danielle and I had our last phone call that evening. I could hear Scott’s voice in the background.
• That same day, the neighboring camper posted a picture of Danielle in front of a campfire on Facebook with the caption “My girlfriend.”
** The last confirmed day we see Danielle alive **

9:11 am - Wawa, Vincentown, NJ
• Danielle was caught on surveillance video getting coffee at Wawa, smiling as she left.
• There was a second person who left the store at the same time. Law enforcement has labeled this person her “companion,” but this individual has never been publicly identified or interviewed.
Later that afternoon in Penn State Forest:
Around 4:00 pm - First GoPro encounter
• A couple driving through Penn State Forest with a GoPro camera encountered Danielle in her car.
• She waved them down and asked for directions to Lake Oswego.
• At that point, her car was not stuck. She drove away.
Around 5:50 pm - Second GoPro encounter (last confirmed sighting)
• The same couple saw Danielle again, this time walking along Lost Lane Road.
• She told them her car was stuck in a puddle, that she had been walking for about 20 minutes, and asked, “What do I do?” and whether they could push her out.
• They did not assist her or offer solutions. They drove away.
• This is the last verified sighting of Danielle on video.
Shortly afterward:
Around 6:20 pm - Tow driver sees her car
• A tow driver saw Danielle’s car stuck in a puddle on Lost Lane Road.
• Her keys were still in the ignition, but Danielle was not with the vehicle.
• He posted a photo and details in the Facebook group “New Jersey stuck in the mud and snow and need a pull out.”
Around 8:30 pm - Car pulled out, but still no Danielle
• The same tow driver returned and pulled the car out of the puddle.
• He left the hazard lights on so the owner could find it, and again posted its location in the same Facebook group.
• Danielle was still nowhere to be found.
There have been no confirmed sightings of Danielle since that second GoPro encounter in the early evening of April 13, 2024.
** When Danielle was actually reported missing **
Wednesday, April 24, 2024
• I officially reported Danielle missing to the New Jersey State Police.
• Detective Alvarez has stated that Danielle was reported missing on April 24, and that they entered her into the national database and opened the investigation.
That same evening, I texted with Scott Dunn. Here are some key parts of that conversation:
• Scott first told me, “She left the campground Wednesday I think. When I got there she and the car were gone.”
• When I asked what day he last saw or spoke with Danielle, he said “Tuesday” and then clarified “16,” meaning April 16.
• This directly conflicts with the evidence that Danielle was last seen alive by the GoPro couple on Saturday, April 13, walking away from her stuck car.
In the days that followed, Scott’s explanations changed several times in his messages. He has:
• Given different days for when Danielle supposedly left the campground.
• Claimed he left her “safe and sound” at the campsite and that others convinced her to leave.
• Blamed different people in different versions of his story.
These contradictions matter. They are part of why many people consider his behavior a major red flag.
** Environmental events that may be important **
In the days after Danielle vanished, there were:
• A small fire on April 22 near her last campground area (Apple Pie Fire).
• A much larger fire on April 24 in a different area she had talked about going (County Line Fire).
• On May 1, a water hole near Lost Lane Road was drained by Forest Fire Service and law enforcement as part of a search related to a missing person whose car was found nearby. That missing person was Danielle.
I am not claiming these fires are definitively connected to her disappearance. I am saying they happened in the same general corridor, within days of each other, shortly after she was last seen, and they were significant enough for law enforcement to drain water looking for evidence.
** Why I am sharing this **
I am sharing this timeline so that:
• The public knows Danielle’s last confirmed movements on April 13, 2024.
• People understand that she did not just “take off” and disappear by choice, with no history of keeping in touch.
• The contradictions in key statements are visible and cannot be ignored.
• Anyone who was in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, Penn State Forest, or the surrounding areas between April 7 and April 24, 2024, can think back to what they saw or heard.
If you:
• Were at Wawa in Vincentown on the morning of April 13,
• Drove or hiked in Penn State Forest that afternoon or evening, especially near Lost Lane Road or Lake Oswego,
• Fought or saw wildfires in that region in late April 2024,
• Or have information about the people named here,
Please contact law enforcement and feel free to reach out to me directly.
Even something that seems small might help connect a piece of this puzzle.
Please share this post so the accurate timeline and facts reach as many people as possible.
My daughter is not a rumor or a story. She is a real person who is deeply loved and deeply missed. I will not stop fighting for the truth, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your attention and assistance.

Just a quick note from Sue, Danielle's mom. She has registered and is waiting approval. She would like you all to know that the last timeline that was posted, the one by her, is the most accurate and that is the one that should be referred to.

Bob, gipsie gave me the coordinates of the encounters and Jess and I went there and did not see the memorial. Yesterday, I saw a video on Facebook showing people there and one was present and looked old. I believe the mom gave gipsie the cords so maybe she was not correct. I really don’t know.

I find it very odd that a tow truck driver, but without his tow truck, happened to be out there and found her car at 6:30 in the evening.
There are so many things that seem odd. That being one of them. It is a very sad tragic story...people had the chance to have changed this for Danielle and no one saw something and said something.
